John Messenger’s Notes
Base training on Narrabeen Lakes using the SUP 5.0 coarse. Aim to stay under 75% (Target 137BPM). Windy from the NE, about 10kn, hard to balance on the 22″ Jav. on the windy sections. Went al little bit too conservative with the wind (hard to keep the HR down when you’re wobbling and got a head wind), but a good time for an av. 135BPM (73%). Range was huge due to the wind though, 41-150BPM.
You are responsible for your own safety and required to take appropriate safety measures to ensure this. Only paddle conditions within your abilities and manage your own risk. Always wear a leash.
