One Edge Pro 2.0, VMG TT Fin, first leg was up into a stiff, swirling headwind attempting to avoid the river weed. Botched my turn which blew a sub 33 time. Return leg was mostly with a tail or side wind apart from the last 800m. Usual warm Townsville morning with only the dragon boaters sharing the same waterway. One day I will get a glass out 🤞 Expand/Collapse |

New course on The Strand. Course contains two left hand turns first at the channel marker with the second close to the beach using the jetski area markers. Stay inside the Sharks buoys on the way back. Little to no wind. Water is very clear. Lots of OC1's, kayaks and SUP's. Expand/Collapse |

14 x 25.5 Infinity Downtown along the Strand waterfront. This was part of our week 4 M2O prep using James' training program. This was our rest week and didn't get above HR Zone 4 with a 5 min warmup and 3 X 1 minute rest periods amongst it hence the small loops in my GPS track to get back to my training partner. Only needed to do an extra 600m in the end for 10km so cracked on 😜. The long part of the triangle features a 9-11km southerly hitting the rear quarter with the return leg straight into the same breeze. Had a bit of wake to deal with from the shark boat and numerous fishermen. The program has been fantastic and I was really happy with how I felt throughout Expand/Collapse |
